Builda Flex 510

Two-component acrylic modified cementitious waterproofing coating

Two-component acrylic modified cementitious waterproofing coating for concrete, bricks, cement plaster and masonry surfaces.

  • Flexible and crack-bridging
  • Brush, spray or trowel applied
  • Withstands hydrostatic pressure
  • Suitable for potable water tanks

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be free from oil, grease, wax, dirt, curing compounds and contaminants. Remove laitance by light sweep blasting, hydro-jetting or wire brushing

Crack Treatment

Shrinkage and non-moving cracks less than 0.3 mm can be bridged with a pre-treatment strip. Wider cracks should be opened and repaired with suitable Builda Rep repair products

Priming

Priming is normally not required on good quality concrete. Cementitious surfaces should be pre-soaked to saturated surface dry condition before application

Mixing

Pour liquid component into the pail and gradually add powder while mixing with a spiral paddle for 3-4 minutes at 300-400 rpm until lump-free

Application

Apply by brush, spray or trowel in the recommended coats. Allow suitable recoating interval depending on climatic conditions

  • Internal waterproofing against ground moisture and pressure water
  • Waterproofing potable water tanks, swimming pools, reservoirs and canals
  • Wet area waterproofing for bathrooms, kitchens, balconies and terraces
  • Waterproofing retaining walls, basements and foundations
  • Maintenance waterproofing over existing ceramic or marble before fixing new tiles
